Where nature inspires children,
we nurture inspiration and help it grow.

About Us

We are an alternative education project with focus directed on creativity, building and language (main languages are  Portuguese and English).

Our vision is to inspire curiosity and creativity in children whilst learning in and from nature. Nature inspires children and we nurture their inspiration in all ways.

Let's provide the tools for the next generation to spot opportunities, solve problems and innovate solutions in a new way.

The Setting

We are set in a circular hand made mud house that is placed exactly on a ley-line, next to a natural forest. The setting is among nature; calming and grounding. As we grow together we wish to provide a workshop with access to tools for creating. The children will build their own base camp, shelter and low tree house on the land. There are plans for a bike track and football field. There's also a compost toilet on site.

Meet The Team

IMG_3679.JPG

Our team is made up of Nori, Lucan and Reef; the reason this project was born.

Nori has worked the last 3 years as a private art teacher and in local alternative education projects. She specialises in a university level course that teaches students how to access their creative mind  through art, and she incorporates elements of this in all her lessons. She has experience in several alternative projects which has helped distinguish a clear direction for this project with the children's needs at the forefront.

Lucan will be supporting this project full time. He is fluent in languages and experienced in sustainable cob building, planting and off grid living. Having a strong and reliable male role model in real life (not on social media) is invaluable, especially for our sons, and this is also what Lucan will provide.

Each day according to the theme, extra teachers will provide their workshops for the children in the afternoons. There will be two teachers supporting the class every day.

Meet Mayatiita

Since 2003, Mayatiita has worked with both adults and children. She spent two years in a Portuguese primary school, where she supported children through daily activities such as theatre, art, and yoga. In 2011, she launched the "Conscious Holidays" project, a summer camp in Cape Verde focused on emotional intelligence and body energetics for children. More recently, she created "Emotional Theatre," a month-long project that involved visiting communities to work with children on understanding emotions and developing tools for support. This project culminated in a puppet show presented to parents at the end of the cycle.

Mayatiita is passionate about helping children navigate their emotions and discover self-healing and self-regulation techniques. Her uplifting spirit and grounding energy create an atmosphere of ease, joy, and love, allowing children to learn and grow in a nurturing environment.
